Overview
What this service covers
File support after physical repairs
Clearing stored crash data from a module readout is a file-processing step. It does not repair deployed airbags, damaged restraint components, wiring or other physical faults. The vehicle’s airbag system still requires appropriate inspection, repairs and checks by the technician responsible for the work.
Check the exact airbag module
The public crash-data reset catalogue lists airbag module choices by vehicle brand and retains part numbers and version details where provided. The imported airbag list is a reference, not a promise that every listed module or readout is compatible. Every submission is checked manually before payment.
Requirements
Before you submit
Completed crash-related physical repairs
Complete all necessary crash-related physical repairs, including restraint components, before requesting crash-data reset file processing. The File desk requires you to confirm those repairs are complete. A processed file cannot substitute for repairing or checking the vehicle’s safety system.
Original module readout and exact part number
Upload the original airbag module dump file, between 1 byte and 32 MB. Provide the vehicle brand, model and year, the selected module option and the exact part number printed on the unit. Include useful version or memory details in your notes where available.
Authorised professional work
Confirm you are authorised to have the readout modified and that the work is lawful in your jurisdiction. The service is intended to support technicians, not bypass vehicle inspection or conceal unresolved physical faults. The responsible technician must still perform the required system checks.
- All crash-related physical repairs completed
- Original airbag module dump file, up to 32 MB
- Vehicle model, year and exact module part number
- Authorisation and the required vehicle safety checks
Process
How a job runs
Submit an original readout
Choose the service, vehicle brand and ECU or module option in the File desk. Sign in to upload one original dump file, with the exact part number, vehicle model and year. The upload limit is 32 MB per file.
Wait for compatibility review
A technician reviews the readout and your module details manually. A catalogue listing does not guarantee that a particular file can be processed. The job is approved at US$20 per file or declined with a reason before payment.
Accept the approved job and arrange payment
Accept the quote from your account. Payment is arranged separately; a PayPal invoice link can be provided for an approved job. There is no automatic checkout, and opening or returning from an invoice does not confirm payment. Staff verify receipt before processing.
Download from your account
Staff process approved, paid files manually and upload the result to the job. When complete, you can download the processed file securely from your account. Your original readout and the returned file are not published in the public module catalogue.
Important
Physical repairs must be complete. Crash-data file processing does not replace repair, inspection or testing of the vehicle’s airbag and restraint system.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What does the airbag crash-data reset service do?
It provides manual file-processing support to clear stored crash data from an airbag control module readout where compatible. It does not physically repair the vehicle or replace inspection and testing of the airbag and restraint system.
Must the physical repairs be complete first?
Yes. All necessary crash-related physical repairs, including restraint components, must be completed before requesting processing. You must confirm this in the File desk. A processed readout is not a substitute for replacing or repairing damaged components.
How much does an airbag reset file cost?
An approved crash-data reset job costs US$20 per file. A technician reviews compatibility first. Once the quote is approved, you accept it and arrange payment separately. Staff verify payment before processing.
How do I check whether my airbag module is listed?
Browse the public airbag module catalogue or choose crash-data reset in the File desk and use the brand and module dropdowns. Compare the exact part number and version details where listed. Compatibility with your individual readout is reviewed manually.
Does a listed module guarantee a successful reset?
No. The list is a submission reference, not guaranteed compatibility or a guarantee that all vehicle faults will be resolved. Each module readout and its identifying details are reviewed manually before payment.
What should I upload for review?
Upload one original airbag module dump file, up to 32 MB, with the vehicle model and year, chosen module option and exact part number. Add relevant details in the notes and confirm physical repairs and authorisation in the submission form.
Can I browse the module list without an account?
Yes. Both the catalogue and File desk dropdowns can be viewed without signing in. Uploading a readout, submitting a job and downloading the processed result require a signed-in account.
How do I receive and track the returned file?
Track the job in your account. Once compatibility is approved, payment is confirmed and manual processing is complete, staff upload the result to the job for secure download. There is no public download link in the module catalogue.
Is this an instant reset service?
No. Compatibility review and file processing are manual. Working hours are 08:00–17:00, UTC+2. A catalogue selection or payment does not mean a file has already been processed; check your job status in your account.
