Overview
What this service covers
A readout-based service, not an instant calculator
This is an online file-processing service. We work with the original readout you submit, not a vehicle sent to a workshop or a module shipped to us. Each file is reviewed and processed manually. We do not promise an automatic solution or compatibility based only on a vehicle brand or ECU family.
Find the ECU option before submitting
The public IMMO off catalogue groups ECU options by brand, including listed cars, motorcycles, trucks and tractors. You can also browse the File desk dropdowns without signing in. Check the exact module information rather than assuming every ECU fitted to a listed vehicle is supported.
Requirements
Before you submit
Original ECU dump file
Use the original readout from the ECU you are working on. Submit one file between 1 byte and 32 MB. The appropriate readout depends on the ECU and your reading tool; the compatibility review determines whether the supplied file is suitable for this service.
Exact identification
Provide the vehicle brand, model and year, the chosen ECU family and the exact part number printed on the unit. Add relevant version or memory details in the notes where available. Missing or mismatched identification can prevent a reliable compatibility review.
Authorisation and checksum responsibility
You must be authorised to have the file modified and confirm the work is lawful in your jurisdiction. The client must perform their own checksum correction before writing the processed IMMO off file back to the ECU. Receiving a processed file does not remove that requirement.
- Original ECU readout, up to 32 MB
- Vehicle model, year, ECU family and exact part number
- Authorised work that is lawful in your jurisdiction
- Your own checksum correction before writing the result
Process
How a job runs
Submit an original readout
Choose the service, vehicle brand and ECU or module option in the File desk. Sign in to upload one original dump file, with the exact part number, vehicle model and year. The upload limit is 32 MB per file.
Wait for compatibility review
A technician reviews the readout and your module details manually. A catalogue listing does not guarantee that a particular file can be processed. The job is approved at US$20 per file or declined with a reason before payment.
Accept the approved job and arrange payment
Accept the quote from your account. Payment is arranged separately; a PayPal invoice link can be provided for an approved job. There is no automatic checkout, and opening or returning from an invoice does not confirm payment. Staff verify receipt before processing.
Download from your account
Staff process approved, paid files manually and upload the result to the job. When complete, you can download the processed file securely from your account. Your original readout and the returned file are not published in the public module catalogue.
Important
Checksum correction is your responsibility. Perform the required checksum correction before writing the processed IMMO off file back to the ECU.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the IMMO off file service?
It is manual processing of an ECU readout for immobiliser-off file support. ECU Tech File Desk assists technicians carrying out authorised vehicle work. It is not an instant calculator, a physical repair service or a guarantee that every ECU can be processed.
How much does an IMMO off file cost?
An approved IMMO off job costs US$20 per file. Compatibility is reviewed before payment. You accept the approved quote in your account and arrange payment separately; staff confirm receipt before processing.
Which brands and ECU models can I check?
Browse the public IMMO off ECU catalogue or the File desk brand and ECU dropdowns. The catalogue includes listed car, motorcycle, truck and tractor choices. A listed option is a reference for submission, not guaranteed compatibility with your particular readout.
Do I need to sign in to check the ECU list?
No. The module catalogue and File desk dropdowns are public. Sign-in is required when you upload a readout, submit a job, accept a quote or download a processed file.
Who performs the checksum correction?
The client must perform their own checksum correction before writing the processed IMMO off file back to the ECU. Do not treat the delivered file as exempt from checksum correction.
How will I receive my processed IMMO off file?
After staff approve compatibility, confirm payment and finish processing, the result is uploaded to your job. Sign in to your account and download it from Jobs. The result is not made available through a public catalogue link.
Is processing automatic, and how long will it take?
Processing and compatibility review are manual, not instant. Working hours are 08:00–17:00, UTC+2. No fixed turnaround is promised on this page; check the status of your request in your account.
Can technicians outside your country use the portal?
Yes. ECU Tech File Desk is a global online file-service portal for technicians. Requests remain subject to module compatibility, authorisation and applicable local requirements. You do not need to ship the ECU to us.
